Make sure that the upper section is heavier than the lower part. Do not wet your hair while cutting as the result will be different then. Cutting in dry hair makes you get control on how much you want to cut.

To accessorize your hair, you can use hair bows and clips. To do that try to make your own hair bands so that no one else can have your look. Dye some hair strands in bright colour, mostly in pink, red or green and try to blend them with the base colour so it doesn't look weird. Do not make yourself different in just one night or others at school/college will call you a poser. Cur your hair then use different bands everyday so that people know you are not someone new and then try to dye your hair in one colour then another.

Keep your hair healthy and fresh. If you have dyed your hair then use colour protected shampoo and conditioner and if your don't want to dye your hair or don't have permission to do so, you can use colour extensions. If your hair are wavy or frizzy then you should straight them with straightening iron or gel or if you want to look even more different then you can try the emo wavy hairstyle. Remember the idea is to look different and all you have to do is be creative.
